Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a new game published by Ubisoft and developed by its Montreal subsidiary. It is a tactical first-person shooter game (with emphasis on team-play) and can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. This game was first publicized during the E3 2014 in Los Angeles. Many are considering it to be the replacement of Rainbow 6: Patriots, but this is just speculation and is still not confirmed. The campaign mode of this game is playable as a alone in single player or can be done with other players via co-op. This game is played mainly online multiplayer.

This game features the basic concept of either saving or keeping the hostage in a home set-up. The Rainbow will try to save the hostage/hostages or defuse the bomb/bombs by using a varied set of modern surveillance technologies to look out for traps that were set by the hostage takers. There are also equipment that can breach through a wall, doors, and even floors. The game environment itself is mainly destructible.

Rainbow Six: Siege will not be the usual standard team deathmatch as gamers will get extra points for playing as a team by completing objectives, not on just kills. A multiplayer match will last for three minutes roughly as said by Xavier Marquis, the Creative Director of the game. The closed Beta of this game is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One gamers. The current beta have PvP and the TerroiristHunt mode which will be explained later on.

Terrorist Hunt a fixture in the previous Rainbow Six will be back on this game and will be renamed as TerroHunt. In this game mode, a team which consists of five players will have to fight through waves of enemy and complete their objectives such as neutralizing bombs and rescuing hostages in 11 locations.
Terrorist Hunt will have several difficulty settings, one is the Realistic setting, where a teammate can be killed even with a single shot. The Realistic setting can also be played in Campaign mode.

Bank features a wide open space at the ground floor that is actually horrible for the defending team to defend because Glaz or anyone could snipe them out from the outside. For Hostage situations, it is better to hide the hostage in the Vault because it forces the attacking to be out in the open in both the hallway towards the vault and the railings.

The second floor is a deathtrap for the defenders too because the walls are just breachable. The good thing is, if defenders spread out across every room, and probably one of the defenders camp in the third floor to stall the breachers up, this should give a sizable advantage to them because of the countless opportunities of ambush. If it happens that the objective is in the second floor, never cluster up together.

The Fuze does wonders here too especially in the CEO area. The conference room can be cleared out with the cluster charge easily given its really small space. Pulse will have a field day because of the rooms.

Looks familiar? Because it is! This is a classic map from Rogue Spear remade for the modern era. Enjoy the vacation place with everything now in high definition. This map is small and tight and it is not difficult for the teams to have a street-fight right there and then. Most of the rooms are adjacent to the outside hence conflict is never inevitable. When you are in the kitchen, you can always shoot out of the small window if the attackers are peeking there. For the attackers, they can ambush the defenders from the outside in the same window. The floors are mostly wood, so destruction is always constant here.

Well the biker ground is here! Mostly wooden area will prove testy for the defenders. However, the tight hallways mean that Jager and Bandit can set their special items all over the place that should stop everything that the attacking team throws at them. This also should prove testy in both Bomb and Hostage situations because it is too easy to kill the hostage inadvertently or receive friendly fire because of the tight space and easily penetrable walls.

Consulate

The consulate is the attacking team's dream map. Attackers can assault the rooms in every places. The wooden floors are a blessing because they are usually placed above typical objective locations. The objective locations are also hellish if you are the defending team. There are certain objectives that are placed in wide open spaces, enclosed places with several entry points, and walls that are breachable in points that just can't be covered without sacrificing flank defense strength.

Objective Points

Cafeteria
Tellers
Consul Office
Administration Office

Spawn locations

Riot Barricade
Police Line
Service Station
North East Garden

*Bolded red texts are the recommended locations per objective.

Hereford Base

Hereford Base is a base made windows Still, this is a difficult map for the attackers because the floor are mostly concrete. You can enter the base so easily but entering the rooms is a much more difficult task. This map is practically a tutorial map because of its straightforward design and emphasis in multiple breaches rather than surprise attacks and ambushes because of limited entry points and chokepoints in every corner.

Objective Points

Armory
Master Bedroom
Storage

Spawn Locations

Training Ground
Barracks Yard
Shooting Range

House

House is the smallest unit of civilization. Kidding aside, yes, House is the smallest map there is. In fact, you can put a defuser in one of the windows if it happens that it is a bomb situation. Those equipped with shotguns or nitro cells could carve a hole in the wall above the main door. Operators can position themselves there to gain an uphill advantage over those attackers coming from the main door, the kitchen, and the living room in the right side.

Objective Points

River Docks
Construction Site
APC Area
Side Street

Spawn Locations

Master Bedroom (Top floor)
Workshop (Top floor)
Dining Room (Main floor)
Laundry Room (Bottom floor).

Kanal

Kanal is the best map for those who wants teamwork. There are two different main buildings that is joined by a bridge. Whatever the location of the objectives are, the firefight should be glorious. The map pushes the players to attack on all sides and defend on all sides. There are very few sharp corners and defenders could not hide on locations without getting exposed in one angle or another. This is one of the maps that Doc excels because he can shoot reviving guns across the room without much worries.

Oregon

Another map that puts the team in constant disarray because of dead ends and multiple entries. Even without entering the compound, a firefight might begin because the windows are situated where the defenders could snipe off everyone outside. Because of Patch 1.3, the instances where defenders will just rush out of the area to kill the attackers is negated with insta-death.

Presidential Plane

Cargo / Luggage

Exterior

The Presidential Plane is a great map for Tachanka and Glaz. Glaz can shoot through the windows while Tachanka can straight up murder anyone on a line. Installing two consecutive deployable shields should be more than enough for Tachanka to be covered. It is also better that you put some Bandit magic on these shields to avoid attackers from ducking on them.
